The new Dragon Players is on its way to the App Store and Google Play. Update the app when it arrives.

Premium and Development Plus

Two levels, chosen by parents.

Optional extras for families who want more. Neither one sells progress: medals, trophies, XP, stages and League places are always earned.

The Premium page in the app, for parents: Premium at £4.99 a month through the App Store, and Development Plus at £14.99 a month with your membership, then what each includes.

The two levels

Premium

£4.99 a month

A monthly App Store or Google Play subscription, bought in the Dragon Players app by a parent. One subscription covers every Dragon in the family.

  • A pet baby dragon. A hatchling that follows their dragon round the cave and in Explore. Four to choose from, one at a time: Ember, Frost, Moss and Bubblegum, named from a picked list.
  • Four cave styles. Castle hall, Space station, Volcano lair and Beach cove.
  • Six dragon skins. Galaxy, Lava, Gold, Camo, Rainbow and Crystal.
  • Premium moves. Extra celebrations.
  • Premium wear. A cape, light-up boots, sunglasses and headphones.
  • Premium cave pieces. For example a trophy wall, an arcade machine, an aquarium and a pet bed.
  • AI Coach and Premium courses. The Home session builder in Learn plans a short session for your child to do at home, plus the Premium courses.

Includes Premium Coming soon

An add-on to a Dragon Academy membership, for each child. It isn’t available to buy yet: ask your coach or the academy about it.

  • A monthly review with your child’s lead coach. A short chat at the end of a session, or a video call if they can’t make it that week.
  • A review card in Dragon Players. Skills rated 1 to 5, one strength, one focus with a home drill, and the coach’s note. Only your family and the academy’s coaches can see it.
  • One Footbar-tracked session a month. Distance, sprints and top speed go on that month’s card. Mini Dragons don’t use the tracker.
  • Dragon Players Premium included. Everything in Premium, for the whole family.
An example monthly review card: October, Osian’s review with lead coach Jordan Davies, a strength in dribbling, the coach’s note and a next focus on passing.

Contact Dragon Academy (opens in a new tab) to ask about Development Plus.

How to get Premium

Premium is bought in the Dragon Players app on iPhone or Android, never on this website or in the browser app.

Premium comes with the new Dragon Players, which is on its way to the App Store and Google Play. Update the app when it arrives.

  1. Open the app as a parent

Sign in to Dragon Players on your phone with your parent account. Player logins never see a buy button.

  2. Go to Profile, then Premium

The Premium page shows the price from the App Store or Google Play before you confirm.

  3. Subscribe

Premium renews each month until you cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings. On a new phone, tap Restore purchases on the Premium page.

The fair play rules

  • Progress is never for sale

Premium never buys medals, trophies, XP, stages or League places. Everything a Dragon earns, they earn by turning up and trying.

  • No pressure on children

Children see Premium items labelled “Premium”, but never a buy button or an “ask a parent” message. No countdowns, no “limited time”, no loot boxes.

  • When Premium ends

The extras go back to the usual ones, the pet goes to bed, and AI Coach and the Premium courses close. Everything your child earned stays, and their Premium choices come back if Premium starts again.

Everything that counts is earned.
